Research: CANCER Folding Project #15501

Project #15501 overview

Project Summary AI Beta

This project studies small ring-shaped molecules that block HDAC8, a protein linked to cancer. By looking at how these molecules move and fit into HDAC8, researchers hope to better understand how they work as potential cancer treatments.

Official Project Description

This project simulates small macrocyclic inhibitors of HDAC8 (histone deacetylase 8), a therapeutic target for certain types of cancer.

This work, a collaboration with Kathryn Cole's group at Christopher Newport University, aims to understand the conformational flexibility of these ligands in solution and bound to the HDAC8 receptor.
