Official Project Description
DNA transcription factors regulate activity of genes, by binding to regions of DNA and either promoting or preventing gene transcription.
One of the most fundamental tasks for life, we are interested in studying how to improve binding by transcription factors to increase their activity.
This applies to many diseases, including cancer, but also other biological applications.
We are simulating many mutations of an example transcription factor WRINKLED1, and selecting the best to experimentally verify.
